Plastic Surgery Nurse

I'm Arlene. I'm Dr. Sherris' nurse, and this is my 14th year with Dr. Sherris. Some of my roles here, as being Dr. Sherris' nurse, is being with the patient from the moment they come in the door, reviewing procedures with Dr. Sherris, giving them information about post-op care, calling them after the procedures. Every patient gets my personal cell phone number to contact me any time day and night with the biggest questions to the most simple one. Even if they are worried, they call me before the procedure and talk to me, and I review the procedure with them again, reassure them, make sure that they know that I'm always there for them. I'm here to make sure that the patients are very compliant with what they're doing so they can get the best outcome with monitoring that they're not overdoing things, that they're taking the proper medication, coming up with a plan for diet, when they can resume regular activities. Everything from the moment right after surgery, all the way through the entire process, I'm there for them. And the greatest thing about my job is getting to know the patients and the biggest joy is coming to work every day. And it's a wonderful place to work. Wonderful working with Dr. Sherris and getting to know the patients and being on their personal journey from the moment they walk in the door until we give them their before and after photos. It's incredible.
